Thank you again for joining us on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 for the 2019 Statewide Disability Summit at MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) HQ2 in East Lansing, MI.  Your time and active participation is greatl appreciated, but now is the time to get back to work. Below you will find links to each of the three workgroups (based on your selection): A- Employment, B- Advocacy and C- Community, which contains the notes take from the Summit, working/living documents and/or any resources provided by other attendees.  Please continue to send me any resources and additional information you believe will benefit the work we are doing.  As a reminder, please ensure the documents/resources include acknowledgements and working links.

The Talent Acquisition Portal® (TAP) is an online system which includes a national talent pool of individuals with disabilities looking for employment and a job posting system for businesses looking to hire. Click here to learn more.

Workgroup C- Community

A MiABLE account is in addition to - not a replacement for – other government programs. For example, Medicaid eligibility is never affected. However, Able account balances that exceed $100,000 could cause a reduction or suspension of Supplemental Security Income benefits (which is still much higher than the $2,000 limit for other assets).  Click here to learn more.

Hire MI Vet is a non-profit community initiative that provides employment-related services to help open the doors to meaningful employment for Veterans and their families.
